Small
but Powerful
Despite its small size and weight
- the LT700x is less than 10 ounces with integrated bar code laser scanner and Li-ion battery -
this unit can cover over
1,000,000 square feet of open warehouse space and
has over 3.3 miles of line of site range in an open area!
Simple Operation
Each scan and each time you
press the Enter key, data is transmitted to the host.
The host sends prompts back to the display and can
even trigger voice message broadcasts at the same time.

Improved Ergonomics
The 7000 Series Terminal has been designed with the ergonomics of the user in mind. We have added a high visibility 15 Line TFT Color QVGA LCD Display, without increasing the overall size of the unit - In addition, the keypad layout has been designed to make scanning and keying easier. The small size and weight of the unit along with the curved shape make it very easy to hold and scan for long periods of time.
Our biggest ergonomic change involves the addition of the optional H7000 handle. The H7000 handle makes scanning much easier for long term use and was one of our most requested features. The handle is sold on the unit when you purchase a LT7001H, LT7011H, LT7002H or LT7012H, or you can add it to your terminals at a later date if you want to by ordering the H7000 unit.
Integrated High Speed Bar Code Scanner
The 7000 Series Terminals all come with your choice of high speed bar code scanners. The LT7001x, LT7011x, LT7002x and LT7012x units come with a 1D bar code laser scanner built into the top of the unit. When you press the scan button, or the trigger on the handle, a laser beam scans at 100 times per second to pick up even poorly printed or damaged bar codes easily. The unit can also scan very high density codes with narrow bars as small as 2.5mil .0025" (0.064mm) - equivalent to 23cpi Code 39!
Bar code types supported include UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN-128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, Code 128, GS1-128, ITF-14, GTIN, Codabar, MSI Plessey, GS1 DataBar (RSS-14) omni and stacked variants, ITF Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, Code 11, LabelCode4, LabelCode5, Storage Tek, and Code 93. The reader auto discriminates automatically.
Below are the typical range of reading for the 7000 RF Terminals. A 6 mil barcode is considered high density, the 10mil and 14mil are typical general purpose medium density, and the 40 mil and 100 mil are large low density codes.

2D Matrix & Omni-Directional Bar Code Scanning
The LT702x & LT702xH come with a omni-directional 2D barcode scanner built right into the top of the unit. When you press the scan button, or the trigger on the handle, a high speed 100 scan per second imaging engine scans 2D matrix barcodes and standard 1D bar codes easily. The scan engine is also omni-directional, so you don't have to have the bar code lined up to scan it.
It reads all popular 2D matrix type bar codes such as PDF417, MicroPDF417, MaxiCode, DataMatrix (ECC 2000, 1400), Composite Codes, Aztec, QR Code, MicroQR Code, as well as USPS Intelligent Mail Bar Code, US Postnet, US Planet, UK Postal, Japan Postal, Australian Postal, and Dutch Postal, along with many others. The 2D bar code can have up to 1024 characters encoded in the code.
In addition, it still reads the standard 1D barcodes including; UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN 128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, TriOptic Code 39, Code 32, Code 128, Codabar, MSI, Code 11, GS1 DataBar, Composite, ITF Interleaved 2 of 5, DTF Discrete 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, Code 93 and many others. The LT7021 and LT7021H scanning engine also scans very high density codes with narrow bars as small as 2.5mil .0025" (0.064mm) - equivalent to 23cpi Code 39!

Internal Li-ion Rechargeable Battery
We are using a industry standard NP-120 Li-ion battery in the unit which has a capacity of 1950mAh. In the event of failure this battery is field replaceable - via 2 screws on the door or handle. With our advanced battery
charging you can have a full charge in 2-3 hours
or less! Intelligent charging replenishes only the
power used - no need to fully discharge batteries or
wait through a full charging cycle for partially used
batteries! With the LT70xxH Handle units you will get a second battery included in the handle which will effectively double the battery life of the unit.
Lowest Cost Available
A starter system of one
LT7001 terminal and one B5001 base station with a serial cable and power supplies is just
$2,340.00
Additional
terminals are inexpensive. Up to 64 Terminals can talk to one Base Station and are easily
supported with little or no contention.
You can start small, develop your
applications, and then expand at a low incremental
cost. Unsurpassed performance
at the lowest price- unbeatable value!!
Serial Compatibility
For users who have
software written for the older 70 series or 700 Series RF Terminals,
the Base Station maintains the same serial interface.
Extensive tools and demonstrations are available including
demos in VisualBasic, Access, and Delphi - plus complete ActiveX components. We even supply demo programs written
in GW BASIC; it's that simple.

If you need additional
coverage, Relay Stations can be added.

Easiest
to Implement
There is no programming
on the terminal. All programming is on the host computer
in the language of your choice. Your only requirement
is to send commands out the serial port .
Any platform and any language can literally make
the terminal sing. Whether you write simple serial
port command strings or you use our supplied Active
X components with Windows®, we make it easy for you.
There's only one program to write and maintain. No
development package is necessary to buy. All you
need is supplied with the purchase of a Base Station.
It's the perfect product for developers who wish
to distribute systems to remote locations. Since the
new B5001 Base Station uses the same serial interface
as before,
all programming done for the previous generation
RF Terminal system will work with the new system. New programming will be required to support the new 15 Line LCD if your software doesn't already support it.
Controlling
the RF Terminal
A
user program does not run on the RF Terminal. There
are three levels of host computer programming support
provided for the RF Terminal:
Low
Level Programming strings sent to
the serial port is the most basic method of programming
which applies to any language and any platform
which can read and write to a serial port. (For
Windows® users there is a free DLL provided to
simplify the serial commands). Click here for
details on Low
Level Programming.
ActiveX support is also provided which provides the overall structure
and all routines which when completed, result in
a running application. It is compatible with Visual
Basic, Visual C++®, Delphi, and most other Windows
32 bit development platforms. Click
here to download the PromptCOM ActiveX pdf programming
guide . You can also download the latest ActiveX for the 7000 here.
TCP/IP support allows
the operation of terminals across a TCP/IP network
connection. This configuration requires a "client" computer
and a "server" computer. It is compatible with Visual
Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, and most other 32-bit
development platforms. Click
here to download the "PrompNET TCP/IP Active X pdf programming
guide.
Again,
there is no programming necessary on the RF Terminal
itself. All programming is on the host computer and
can be in Visual Basic, Access, C, Basic, etc. Any platform
and any language that can read/write to a serial
port can be used.

Optional Encryption
While it is unlikely that anyone would have the ability to monitor the RF data you are transmitting, if you do need more extensive security of your data the 7000 RF Terminal system offers optional encryption of the RF data traffic between the B5001 base station and the terminals. We use a proprietary 32-bit passcode encryption method to encrypt all of the data that is transferred over the RF spectrum. You choose the passcode and enter it into both the base station and each terminal to complete this security setup.
KwikCount/RF for Excel
All 7000 RF Terminals include our KwikCount/RF add-in for Excel! This add-in gives you a simple, interactive program development tool using Excel; right out of the box - no programming knowledge needed! If you can use Excel, then you can use KwikCount/RF to develop interactive real-time applications which use an Excel data base - including inventory, shipping, and receiving applications! Many applications include an import/export feature for Excel - allowing you to export your application's data, use KwikCount/RF to update the data base on-line, and then import the updated data back into your application - all with NO programming knowledge required! This is perfect for inventory, shipping, receiving and even shelf price verification! Not only can you collect data, but you can display data from the Excel data base to help the user make decisions based on the data in the computer files.
Optional & Upgradeable Handle
The 7000 RF Terminal system offers an interchangeable battery door and handle system. You can either use the standard battery door, standard on the LT70xx models, or you can order the LT70xxH models with the gun handle already installed. The handle is also available separately as an optional, field upgradeable handle to use in place of the battery door, so you can upgrade a LT70x1 to use the H7000 handle at any time in the future. The H7000 handle is easy to install and includes a second battery in the handle to double the battery life.

Mobile Portable Printer Support
The LT70x2 & LT70x2H RF Terminals are all equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology and are capable of talking to any printer with Bluetooth wireless technology built in, including the Zebra® Mobile Portable Printer models RW 220, RW420, MZ 220, MZ 320, EM 220 & P4T, allowing you to easily print product/price labels, barcode labels, receipts or other tags. Communication and printing to any other brand of mobile printers that are equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology is very easy using the special menus built into our 70x2 RF Terminals - Bluetooth support is only licensed in the USA.
All models of the 7000 RF Terminals also support the
easy-to-use Zebra Portable Printers like the QL 220 Plus, QL 320 Plus, QL 420 Plus, the older QL320, plus the Cameo 2 receipt printer with built in Magstripe (pictured below) using our C13 Serial Printer Cable.
The Cameo 2 is a lightweight, ergonomically-designed
portable receipt printer with magnetic stripe and is an excellent choice for POS, Point of Purchase, Hospitality and anywhere a receipt is needed and/or magstripe input including credit card scanning is required. Common uses would be rental car returns, ticket sales, and the restaurant & food services industries.
Using standard RF Terminal programming, the host
computer simply sends printer command sequences to
the RF Terminal. These printers greatly increase
the functionality of the RF Terminal.
Voice Messages
In addition to the display
prompts and error messages, the RF Terminal has the
ability to audibly prompt and advise the operator
with pre-recorded prompts and error advisories triggered
by the host program. Voice messages are particularly
helpful in poorly lit areas, cold environments, non-English
speaking cultures, and keyless applications (faster
scanning without having to refer to the display).
802.11 Wi-Fi vs. 7000 Series RF Terminals
802.11 Wi-Fi is a spread spectrum radio format that typically operates in the 2.4GHz band and is very popular around the world. However, it only has around 100-300ft range in most applications and requires extensive site surveys plus special wiring and locating of the access points to correctly cover any large area or building. Even the more powerful Wi-Fi 802.11n radios can only cover around 650ft (200m) at best. Our 900MHz 7000 Series RF Terminals use a very powerful 900MHz spread spectrum radio that can easily cover many thousands of square feet with a single base station, plus you can expand the coverage even further using relays - in an open area our range is over 3 miles! Our radio has 25 times the range of the very best Wi-Fi radios. It is very common for a customer to install just one B5001 Base Station in a corner of a large warehouse and still get complete coverage in the entire building. We feel that our 7000 series RF terminal is the best solution for any location that doesn't already have a working Wi-Fi based radio network covering the entire working area required. If you already have endured the expense of surveys, wiring and installing a working 802.11 Wi-Fi radio network in your location or you need use a terminal in a remote location then Worth offers the LT7802 Wi-Fi RF terminals

Extending Range with Relay Station
Relay Stations give
even greater coverage and overcome steel structured
wall limitations of separate rooms. Relays are connected
by 422 cable to the Base Station. The Base station B5001 can be converted to operate as a relay with a simple jumper change.
