| LZ400RF Cordless Laser Scanner |
Step up to our wireless LZ400RF Laser Scanner for incredible cordless range and performance. This RF Laser works just like our tethered bar code scanners transmitting scanned bar code data wirelessly to a base station. The base station then transmits the data via USB as keyboard data or via RS-232 to the computer.
USB keyboard output is our most popular choice and the scanned bar code data can be input into any application or program. Just place the cursor wherever you want bar code data entry and scan a bar code, the data will appear as keyed data. The LZ400RF Laser Scanner, B78 Base station and a USB cable is only $999 with free shipping! ![]() ![]() |

The Worth Data cordless LZ400-RF Laser scanners have industry leading RF range and can operate up to 500 feet from the B78 Base Station in an open area. The LZ400-RF Laser uses 900Mhz frequency-hopping spread spectrum RF to provide excellent interference free coverage and range. Up to 10 Base stations can operate within range of each other; each B78 Base can support 10 individual LZ400RF laser scanners. The LZ400-RF Laser is a "2-Way" Laser Scanner featuring a "confirming" beep on the Laser itself to let the user know that the data was received by the Base. It also has a rubber bumper around the unit to protect it from damage and drops, plus there is no external antenna to break or damage. Bar code types supported include UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN 128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, MSI Plessey, RSS-14 and RSS Stacked variants, Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, and Code 93. LZ400-RF Laser Scanner B78 RF Laser Base Station The B78 can also connect as a RS-232 Serial device to any computer or ASCII terminal with a serial port including; UNIX Terminals, ASCII Terminals, Dumb Terminals, laptops, cash registers, and most micro and mini computers. For multi-user computers that use Linux, UNIX, PICK, etc., the B78 Base attaches between the host and the terminal using a F45 serial "Y" cable, transmitting data as though it has been keyed. Any ASCII serial terminal that is operating in character mode can have the bar code reader act as a 2nd keyboard. The bar code reader attaches between the host cable and the terminal. Simply unplug the serial cable from the multi-user terminal and plug it into one end of the Serial "Y" cable coming from the B78. Then, plug the other end of the serial "Y" cable directly into the terminal. When data is received by the base station the data is transmitted to the host computer which echoes the data back through the B78 base reader to the terminal's screen; bar codes appear to have been keyed. Up to 10 LZ400-RF Laser Scanners can talk to one B78 base station using advanced collision detection and retry logic. The B78 Base Station with USB cable is $300, and the B78 Base Station with power supply (not needed for USB) and standard serial cable is only $340. A complete single gun system consisting of a LZ400RF Laser Scanner, B78 Base Station and a USB cable is only $999 with free shipping! |
