WARNING: The products, packaging, and/or components sold on this website may contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm
Proposition 65 requires that businesses must provide persons with a "clear and reasonable warning" before exposing them to any product that may contain any of 700, or more, elements that the California Air Resources Board considers a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant.
Of these elements the most common in our products would be lead, which may be contained in the solder on our printed circuit boards and our other electronic assemblies or cables. However, there are a multitude of other everyday elements that may be in our products. Many of the elements listed under Proposition 65 are common everyday items. Many, such as lead, are commonly used in the electronics industry. Other elements are uncommon items and are rarely used in the electronics industry, if used at all. The list of elements keeps changing and is periodically updated.
Worth Data has not made a determination whether any exposure from our products is above or below the Proposition 65 "no significant risk level", but out of an abundance of caution, Worth Data has elected to place Proposition 65 warnings on its product packaging.
More information is available at the Proposition 65 website.
