Worth Data® offers a small but varied selection of Thermal Transfer label stock and ribbons for the Thermal Transfer printers we have sold over the years including the DataMax E Class, Ovation, and DataMax I Class printers, plus the Citizen CLP-720x printers. Use these guidelines for choosing the correct label stock and ribbon combination for your application:

PTT Paper Labels/GP Ribbon:
Use PTT Paper Labels and GP Wax Ribbon when your are printing one-time use labels,
i.e. shipping labels, or fast-moving retail items. If you need a slightly more durable label,
use P2 Ribbon instead for less smearing.

Kimdura Labels / P2 Ribbon:
Kimdura is a synthetic label stock which is waterproof and more scratch resistant than
PTT Paper Labels. Applications include outdoor use (plants, etc..), file folders, and anytime
scratch-resistant labels are required. You must use the wax/resin blend P2 Ribbon with
Kimdura Label stock.

Polyester Labels / P1 Ribbon:
Polyester is a synthetic label stock that is highly durable, waterproof and is the only stock
recommended for extreme environments. Applications include hot/cold outdoor uses
(plant nursery) and when highly durable, long lasting labels (10 yr. asset tags) are required.
You must use P1 resin ribbon with Polyester Label stock - the resin actually bonds to the
polyester media and cannot be rubbed or even scratched off.
