Many of our WDP P22 and WDR R22 readers are sold with wand scanners. Our wand scanners are inexpensive yet durable and manufactured to our strict specifications. You definitely want to use a wand scanner when:

• bar codes are close together (like on a menu) and there is a high probability of scanning more than one bar code at a time when using a laser scanner.

Our F52 wand sells for $100.00 and can be used with the following decoders:

• WDP P01 (old)
• WDP P11/12 (old)
• WDP P22
• WDR R22

The slot badge scanner is operated by sliding a bar coded badge through the slot. This scanner substitutes for a wand, or it can be attached as a second scanner to the WDP and WDR. It can also be used on a TriCoder with a power supply attached.

This unit operates best with the center of the bar code 1/2" from the sliding edge of the card. Card decks are provided for the setup of the decoder. This slot badge scanner is rugged beyond any competitive product on the market. We have sold others in the past, and we have always returned to this product because it has held up for so well in conditions such as health clubs, which have hundreds of uses seven days per week.

The slot badge scanner is available in visible light (F59) or in infrared light (F24) for black on black security bar codes. The price is $100.00. Slot Badge Scanners can be used with the following models:

LZ160 Laser Scanner - Undecoded Laser Scanner

The LZ160 Laser Scanner is our cost-effective entry level laser scanner that is only slightly more expensive than a wand at $179.00 undecoded - only $199.00 decoded!. The LZ160 laser scanner is very durable - it is designed to withstand multiple 5 ft. drops to concrete, the cord was engineered to survive 1,000,000 bends, it has a rugged polycarbonate/ABS housing, and a tough scratch resistant recessed exit window. This laser uses a 48 scan per second laser scan engine and can read any type of printed media.

The LZ160 laser is able to scan from 0 ” to 10 ” away from a typical 100% UPC bar code. This replaces our older LI50 CCD scanners and the LZ150 laser imagers, yet offers improved range, improved decode speed and response, wider bar code decoding, and of course the benefit of a laser for aiming and ease of use all for the same cost! The undecoded LZ160 can be used with the following readers:

• TriCoder T5000
• TriCoder T54 T64 T53 T63 T52 T62
• T701 RF Terminal
• T802 RF Terminal

You can use the LZ160 laser in almost any bar code scanning situation. The only time you would not use it is if you are scanning bar codes that are very close together (like a menu) or if you need to read barcodes that are more than 10" away. The LZ160 scanner will read high density bar codes with bar widths as small as 3.5 mil (.0035" - 0.089mm), which is equivalent to an 17 CPI Code 39 bar code! LZ360 Laser Scanner - Undecoded Laser Scanner
The LZ360 Laser scanner is a general purpose low-power laser scanner that many retail and POS customers prefer. It can read 100% UPC bar codes from up to 12” away. The laser is very durable - it is designed to withstand multiple 5 ft. drops to concrete, the cord was engineered to survive 1,000,000 bends, it has a rugged polycarbonate/ABS housing, and a tough .060" thick scratch resistant recessed exit window.

This laser uses a high speed 100 scan per second scan engine, can read any type of printed media, plus it scans high density bar codes with narrow bars as small as 2.7 mil (.0027" - .069mm) equivalent to a 22 CPI code 39!.

The LZ360 Laser Scanner is compatible with:

LZ400 Laser Scanner - Undecoded Laser Scanner
The LZ400 Laser Scanner is our top of the line industrial-quality bar code laser scanner. It reads up to 18” from a 100% UPC bar code and is excellent for reading bar codes printed on any media. The LZ400 is very fast - scanning at 36 times per second - so reading is instantaneous - plus it scans very high density bar codes with narrow bars as small as 2.5 mil (.0025" - .064mm) equivalent to a 23 CPI code 39! The LZ400 uses our highest powered class II laser scan engine and carries a 3 year warranty. The LZ400 Laser Scanner is compatible with:

The LZ400 is the perfect choice for warehouse-type applications where distance and durability are vital. It has improved decode range when compared to either the LZ160 or the LZ360.

This laser also has a special aiming dot feature that can be enabled. With the aiming dot turned on a bright laser dot is sent out first to help the operator position the beam correctly before the beam spreads to read the code. This works very well for high shelves and reading automobile VIN barcodes through a windshield.

Because Worth Data manufactures these laser scanners, we can confidently state that we will turnaround any necessary repair within 24 hours of receipt. Any of these lasers are ideal for use with the WDP, WDR, TriCoder, and RF Terminals.

This laser was designed for long range scanning - up to 25 feet on a 100 mil retro-reflective bar codes. It reads normal bar codes up close as well (6.8 mil minimum bar width). It has a two-position trigger; the first trigger pull provides an aiming spot, the second activates the scanning beam. The Extra Long Range is compatible with the following readers:
